Richard A. Galt, Esq.
Mr. Galt's practice is concentrated primarily in business, corporate, commercial and commercial real property law.
Mr. Galt is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Real Property Law: Residential, Business, Commercial, and Industrial Transactions.
He is admitted to practice before the North Carolina, New York and Vermont (inactive) Bars.
Previously, Mr. Galt was a partner in Curtin & Galt, LLP, with offices in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Albany, New York, and Atlanta, Georgia.
Prior to having founded Curtin & Galt, LLP, in 1999, Mr. Galt was of-counsel with Herzog, Engstrom & Koplovitz, PC, Albany, New York.
From 1994 until 1997, Mr. Galt served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Mace Security International, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed manufacturer and distributor of non-lethal military and law enforcement products.
Mr. Galt holds a Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School of Union University, Albany, New York, where he was an Associate Editor of the Albany Law Review and the author of the article entitled "The Use of Out-of-State Convictions for Enhancing Sentences of Repeat Offenders" published in 1994 in Volume 57:4 of the Albany Law Review.
